Choon Fu Goh serves as an Associate Professor, spearheading research in mucosal and topical/transdermal drug delivery in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). His group’s main research interest is the development of functional biomaterials from abundant resources available in Malaysia, mainly cellulose-based. His expertise and knowledge for dermal delivery have been recognised through >40 publications and >RM1.8mil research funding. His research work won several awards including Gold Medal in Malaysia Technology Expo (2024) and Crown Prince CIPTA Award – 2nd runner up (2021). He is also the 2021 recipient of the MyCRS Young Scientist Award and one of the six Malaysian young scientists to participate in the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting 2022. He actively participates in the scientific community including the Controlled Release Society (CRS) and the Malaysia Local Chapter of the Controlled Release Society (MyCRS) (currently a Vice President). He served as an editorial board member for several journals including journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics and International Journal of Cosmetic Sciences (2022 – 2024).
