Dr. Zhou is trained in various branches of polymer chemistry and engineering. He received B.Eng. (Material Science and Engineering) from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, M.Sci. (Chemistry) from National University of Singapore, and Ph.D. (Macromolecular Science) from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Zhou started his drug-delivery industrial endeavor from 2013 when he co-founded SINOPEG (Xiamen SINOPEG Biotech. Co., Ltd.), a company dedicated to offering activated PEG for pegylation of biologics and small molecules to pharmaceutical companies worldwide. In 2019, Dr. Zhou founded InnovatingBio (InnovatingBio Co., Ltd.), a company focusing on drug-delivery by nano-particles. Dr. Zhou served as both CEO and CSO to lead InnovatingBio to launch phase 1 study of the first drug candidate in 2026.
