A visionary in pharmaceutical innovation and regulatory strategy, Dr. Goutam Muhuri is the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of American Pharma Solutions, LLC, USA—a specialized advisory firm supporting start-up to mid-cap generic pharmaceutical companies with strategic, technical, and CMC-related guidance. The firm has a strong track record in guiding development-to-commercialization across the US, EU, and ROW markets and conducting CMC due diligence for U.S. investment firms involved in M&A. Dr. Muhuri is the immediate Past President – R&D Formulation and member of Corporate Management Team at Ipca Laboratories (2017–2024), and previously held the role of President – R&D at Jubilant Generics. With over 35 years of senior leadership experience, he has worked with global pharmaceutical leaders including Teva, Shire Labs, Alpharma, Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, and Valeant/Bausch & Lomb. He earned his PhD in Pharmacy from Jadavpur University, pursued post-doctoral research in Canada, and received UNIDO-sponsored Post-Graduate Training at the State University of Ghent, Belgium. Holder of several patents, he received the 2022 FDD Leadership Editor’s Choice Award. He is a vocal advocate for global access to affordable, quality medicines, and prevention of drug shortages.
