Masahiro Terabe is the senior director and PT technology professional at the Pharmaceutical Technology Division of Chugai Pharmaceutical. He focuses on problem-solving, technology, and personnel development for CMC across development and production. Recently, he actively explores the application of generative AI and digital twin technology. He delivers lectures and writes about data science, AI, and Digital Transformation in CMC development, particularly in formulation development. Before joining Chugai Pharmaceutical, he was a data scientist at Mitsubishi Research Institute where he managed projects implementing data science and AI technologies in the energy and manufacturing industries. One of his notable projects involved developing a virtual experiment AI for beer brewing processes. Dr. Terabe received a Ph.D. from Osaka University in the field of data science. He continues to contribute to the academic field as a reviewer for major AI-related international conferences such as NeurIPS and ICML.
